Medical Narration
On Call When You Need Her
Professional medical narration professionally delivered with authority and clarity. Medical narration requires that the tone and style of delivery have a fluency and ease that requires special training. The Right Sound at the Right Time
Getting the tone right is vital for medical narration. If a video includes new instructions for a drug, a new medical situation or diagnosis, then the voice needs the perfect balance of calm, care and warmth. This in turn, helps the patient listen and take in the information. If a video is a training video for people within the medical field, Shana’s natural authority allows her to sound like a doctor. And get the tone right every time.
Understanding the Needs of your Clients
Shana is a trained voiceover actor with 25 years of professional acting experience. However, Shana has a unique set of experiences within the medical field during her year-long journey in and out of hospitals in 2019. While traveling in Ireland, Shana survived a Triple A: ascending aortic aneurism. After open-heart surgery and a St. Jude’s mechanical aorta was installed, she spent 6 more weeks in Ireland (recording VO the whole time— sometimes in the X-Ray room down the hallway) and finally returned home. On the way home, she developed two infections in her chest cavity and following two more surgeries (and more VO recorded in her hospital room) she had a mid-line installed that she had to use for 6-weeks to inject antibiotics. Following that she had two strokes (thankfully a symptomatic) and found early detection breast cancer. She then had a lumpectomy and radiation treatments. During 2019 and parts of 2020, she spent time in 6 hospitals in a seven month time period. She knows what your patients need in their training videos. She can pronounce all that medication (since she’s on a lot of it), and most importantly she understands how they feel. And note, she’s doing great now. The mechanical valve clicks at -57db (and you’ll never hear it in your files… but she’s relieved it’s there and clicking happily away.)
